Boyd and Nan Ottrey come to the market with their prized Cardrona Merino mountain bred lamb. Reared in the unspoiled ranges of Cardrona and its surrounding valleys, Merino lamb has been bred for generations, providing a distinctive and award winning natural product.
Across the majestic Southern Alps, the lambs roam freely throughout the land, grazing extensively on herbs and native grasses. This free-range lifestyle creates a lean, tender meat with a beautifully refined flavour. Our goal is to provide the most sustainable, high quality lamb in the country.
We provide fresh, living microgreens year round, packed with flavour and vitamins. Excellent for garnishing, salads, sandwiches, smoothies or simply snacking on something green and healthy. You can find a selection of the sorts that we grow at our market stall, stop by for a taste, or grab one of our very popular home-growing kits and grow your own microgreens!

At Pembroke Pâtisserie we create quality hand crafted pastries and desserts. We are influenced by traditional French classics and we love creating our own modern twists. Our inspiration comes from using the best locally sourced produce available, as the seasons dictate. We then transform these products in delightful treats just for you. Bon appétit!

We are based in Wanaka and grind a variety of organic grains to make nutritious and delicious sourdough bread.
Peppermint Kitchen bakes cakes that are bright, delicious and made completely from scratch each week. They feature local, seasonal ingredients, brave flavour experiments and home-grown edible flowers- a riot of taste and colour!
The cakes are sold both complete and by the slice with drips, splodges and unusual, natural decorations. There are always at least two delicious gluten free options and often vegan and refined-sugar-free cakes feature on the menu as well.
We create a range of handmade chutneys, pickles, relishes, sauces and preserves that are crafted without the use of any artificial preservatives, colours, flavours or additives. The fruit and vegetables used in our products are sourced where possible from the Central Otago region and are now increasingly grown by us organically on our property in Lake Hawea. Where possible, fruit and vegetables sourced from external growers are grown organically without the use of chemical sprays or fertilizers. We also sell our excess organic vegetables when available. Great pride is taken in producing a range of products which are packed with goodness, honest flavours and offer an exciting and unique taste experience.
Village Nuts (May, June, July, August)
Greg & Lisa, Wanaka’s village nutters, bring you hand picked chestnuts and hazelnuts from the shores of Lake Wanaka. We roast ’em up to perfection on our purpose built roasting cart, so you can warm your pockets and munch them while they’re piping hot. This year we’ll also be selling cold nuts (raw, or pre-roasted) and sharing our favourite recipes with you, so you can go nuts at home too.
Wanaka Organics sell organic eggs, certified by Bio Gro. Our chickens are pasture fed and enjoy free ranging in the open air of the beautiful Glendhu Station. Fed organic supplementary grain and grits, our farming process supports the environment and the chickens repay us with the best quality organic fertilizer and providing nutrient dense eggs of the highest quality. You will taste and see the difference! We also bring produce from our organic garden along to the markets when we have surplus.
